Upcoming editions of Sin City will feature new cover artwork by series creator Frank Miller. More than a million copies of the successful comic book anthologies, which are packed with gritty, intertwining crime stories and bold black-and-white artwork, have been printed so far.
The cover for the third edition of Sin City Volume 1: The Hard Goodbye, pictured above, shows lead character Marv (who was played by Mickey Rourke in the 2005 movie Sin City, co-directed by Miller and Predators producer Robert Rodriguez).
Sin City Volume 2: A Dame to Kill For also will get new cover artwork by Miller. This installment in the neo-noir series is planned as the lead story in Sin City 2, the movie sequel from Miller and Rodriguez. The 208-page editions, which go on sale in September, will retail for $19 from Dark Horse Comics.
