Internal Ultra ATA 33 IDE Devices.
Will Support only 1 or 2 IDE Devices
Ultra ATA33/66/100/133
It works with all IDE and EIDE devices
such as hard disk drives (HDD), CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, CD-R,
and CD-RW drives.
Separate IDE cable connections for hard
drives and CD ROMs are recommended. Sharing IDE cable
between hard drive and CD ROM may slow access to your
hard drive.
All new motherboards should already come
with one IDE cable. However, a second IDE cable is
recommended if you have more than one IDE device.
Compatibility:
This cable will
work with an old ATA33 hard drive/motherboard/CD
ROM.
Ultra ATA/66/100/133 is 100 percent backwards
compatible with both Ultra ATA/33 and DMA cables, and with
existing EIDE/IDE hard drives, CD-ROM drives and host
systems.
Devices Greater than Ultra ATA 33
will run slower with this cable. For maximum speed
use a 40-pin, 80-conductor IDE cable with all ATA
66/100/133 Devices.
