Russia has denounced the arrival in Ukraine of the first batch of U.S.-made M1 Abrams tanks. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday the delivery would “in no way” affect the outcome of the war. “There is no panacea and one kind of weapon that can change the balance of forces on the battlefield. There is no such weapon,” he told reporters. He acknowledged that “Abrams tanks are serious weapons” but asserted that they, too, would “burn” as other weapons have done. “The Americans continue to increase their indirect involvement in this conflict,” he said.
