JOHN J., age 77, April 9, 2016, died at home surrounded by his family. John was a graduate of St. Bernard's Grade School, North Catholic High School and Temple University. John was in the United States Army and served in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a 4 year starter for Temple University Football, Vice President of Smith Kline Beecham and CEO of Franklintown Corporation. He volunteered his time as a football coach for Liberty Bell, Calvary AA (Football Director) and Archbishop Ryan. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Reuss). Devoted father of JoAnn Duffy (Richard), Nancy Soulsby (Richard), Beth Wenger (Michael), John A. (Jenfyer), Brian McShane (Jaclyn) and Kate Lipski (Craig). Grandfather of Erin, Nicole, Ryan, Shane, Michael, Maggie, Kalie, Matthew, Daniel, Nolan, Grace, Ella, Owen, Jake, Reid and the late Kevin. Brother of Patricia Irving (Jack); brother-in-law of Julia Brown (the late Earl), William Reuss and the late John. He will be sadly missed by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and cherished friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Viewing Monday Evening 6 to 8 P.M. and Tuesday Morning 9 to 9:45 A.M. at Our Lady of Calvary Church, 11024 Knights Rd., followed by Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
