Corey W The short season, while brilliantly written by Warren Ellis, was a lesson in excellent table setting that leaves viewers primed for bigger and bloodier things in a way that was easy for this latecomer as there was no wait between seasons, but could be seen as quite the tease in real time. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/05/24 Full Review Nick S It is much shorter than I'd have liked but it's visually great and the story is engaging, much more so than had expected. My only real gripes are some historical goofs (for example, catholic church wouldn't have been prominent in Wallachia, it would have been Orthodox church instead), but, giving the show benefit of the doubt as it is a work of fantasy after all. Excellent production, it feels high end. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/24 Full Review Castlevania F Brings the people to find the game, not good in soundtrack. Satifying to certain Castlevania old fans although not need to be old fan, just you need to know the games or had watched the gameplays to feel wathever you wanna feel about the series. Not too bad but not that good as some people say. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/17/23 Full Review Natnael B Its a good start, i enjoyed the story and that ending is best cliffhanger👌👌👌👌 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/06/23 Full Review Raziel T Honestly? Pretty amazing, it's been a while since we've had anything this good, and I'm here for it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/03/23 Full Review R. Hegner Certainly not made for people who went to school unless you're like under 12 years old, it is impossible to ignore all the many politically motivated changes in this historically inspired Setting, making it less than believable and spoiling immersion Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Alan Scherstuhl Village Voice Brief, entrancing, [and] wickedly bloody. Aug 8, 2017 Full Review Steve Greene indieWire It never quite reaches the demented highs of its pillar-of-hellfire pilot, but by season's end, there's a clear mission statement for arriving at a slightly more optimistic future. Rated: B- Jul 11, 2017 Full Review Matt Gerardi AV Club While the animation and writing in this first "season" occasionally stumble along the way, the series' creators have gone above and beyond to wring a resonant story from a game that never really had or needed one. Rated: B Jul 11, 2017 Full Review Victor Pineyro Seventh Art Studio It's exhaustingly entertaining and holds no punches in its violence. Yet season 1 feels almost like a trailer for what's to come in the next seasons. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 7/10 Jun 17, 2022 Full Review Therese Lacson Nerdophiles [F]our episodes are hardly enough for the first season of Castlevania and that's our only real complaint. Rated: 4.5/5 Mar 3, 2021 Full Review James Beckett Anime News Network Far from a flawless production, but it's entertaining, competently made and satisfying in most all the ways it needed to be. I can't wait to see more. Rated: B+ Mar 2, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews
