Yamaha C605 Electone Organ Improvisation

YouTube via martythevampire1 — March 23, 2010 — "This is an improvised tune with my Yamaha C605 electone organ from 1982 showing what you can get out of the accompanyment arpegiator. The audio is fed out into a Zoom 1202 effects rack for the delay (via the organs aux output and aux input jacks). The sound is just the internal speakers (sorry theres no direct audio input on the camera) I love the choir sounds on this as they can get a bit mellotronesque.

Excuse the playing, this is only me messing around and to show the kind of things you can get out of these old beasts rather than the typical cheesy 'Home organ' style.

Before anyone asks, this doesn't have midi or a c.v. interface (control voltage), neither is there any sync or clock output. You can stack multiple sounds up though: upper manual sounds, upper enemble sounds, solo sound plus special section sounds all together.

I have a few more videos I will be uploading in the next few days showing some other features and sounds it can make."

Yamaha C605 Bass Pedals Playing Synth Sound (Synthe) preset

"martythevampire1 — March 23, 2010 — Yamaha C605 bass pedals switched to play 'Synthe' sound on the bass pedals, a great filtered synth sound."

"Its a great organ, and quite capable of some fantastic analog synth strings, choirs brass and synth effects, its not massively programmable as such but you can stack a lot of the sounds up together (strings, choir, solo synthe and harpsichord) or simply use it as a nice home organ sound. You can alter the attack and release (sustain) envelope on the ensemble sounds. Built in rythym and arpeggiator section can provide nice backing. Built in spring reverb and good leslie/vibrato/chorus effects and it is very flexible in terms of where and how you can assign the voices.

Overall condition for a 28 year old organ is pretty good"
