A year ago I wrote these lines for the final reflections of my book "Toolbox for Strategic Political Training". It is a great honour to be inducted into the #MeVision #300000leaders by 2030 initiative. Authenticity - no once could be you better than you. Authenticity is your distinct competitive advantage. 2. Build Trust - your success depends on how you can successfully penetrate intentional relationships 3. Create Clarity - being clear with your expectations fosters innovation 4. Create other leaders - Just bc you CAN doesn’t mean you SHOULD 5. Diversity- it’s will not just happen on its own 6. Innovate - teach them to innovate by teaching them to fail 7. I had a great first day today attending (virtually) the HACR - Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility - Leadership Pipeline Program! All of the sessions were eye-opening so much to reflect on and put into practice. Some takeaways from day 1: -Own your accent, it's one of your superpowers -Belonging means something different for everyone -We can do more when we do it together (juntos) -Be brave and be courageous -Start behaving with the end goal/role in mind -Your brand matters -Be prepared to ask for a promotion -Be prepared to have difficult conversations -Learn to deal with constructive feedback -Prioritize what's important -Delegate -Speak up -Make yourself known My favorite: Be bold - nature favors the bold Thank you HACR for the great programming. Friday Byte 💿: Be authentic , prove to yourself you can do it, and embrace self-promotion. These are some of the takeaways that seemed to stick with a few people I coached on leadership lately. 🎙️Find your authentic voice and do not try to emulate others. This not only leads to exhaustion but also hinders success. 💪To earn the right to lead, prove your success in the areas you expect your team to excel in. This also helps with often talked about imposter syndrome. 📣Don't shy away from self-promotion, especially if you're a female. In fact, promote others to do, there is abundance of opportunities.
