CaliWood Pictures, founded in 2019, is in post-production on the romantic-comedy A Nice Girl Like You, starring Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars, Katy Keene, Truth or Dare), and Jackie Cruz (Orange is the New Black), coming out July 17, 2020. Other exciting projects for 2020 include a co-production of the bio-pic Lansky, starring Oscar-nominee Harvey Keitel (The Irishman, Reservoir Dogs) and Sam Worthington (Avatar); Shriver, starring Michael Shannon and Kate Hudson, and the road trip movie Ashes to Asheville, written by Charlie & Chris Frazier, and a soon-to-be-announced TV project. CaliWood Pictures was founded by award-winning producers and investors Jina Panebianco, John D. Straley, R. Wesley Sierk III and Michael J. Reiser who met through highly successful past independent film and TV collaborations. Their aim is to create high-quality independent films, driven by creators with original voices, unique storytelling and compelling characters.
