This is art by LunchiePanda of me turning into Ferdinand the Bull.
Well, I suppose my new... well, appearance requires an explanation.
A few months back, my parents gave me and my siblings the chance to choose whether we would go to Italy or Spain for a surprise summer vacation! Both options sounded super amazing, but I really wanted to go to Italy in particular because I was addicted to Roman history, and I wanted to see the ancient center of Roman civilization first-hand. Sure, Spain had Roman ruins as well, but I wanted to see the Colosseum, explore Venice, and perhaps even go skiing in the Alps!
However, I got out-voted by both my younger siblings, who wanted to go to Spain.
Normally I wouldn't be THAT upset. As my parents reminded me, I should be grateful that I am even going on a vacation to Europe at all. And even though I wouldn't be going to Italy, there were still Roman ruins all over Spain that I would still have the opportunity to see. I was also forgetting that this trip was about family time, and not about getting what I wanted.
However, its not the fact that my siblings voted for Spain, but the reason that they voted for Spain that bothered me. It probably bothered me more than it should have, but it still annoyed me.
You see, our parents surprised us with this vacation a few days after Christmas. It was supposed to be announced on Christmas Day, but the travel arrangements were finalized a few days later than expected, so the surprise was delayed accordingly. In the meantime, our parents got one small non-expensive Christmas present for all three of us (we didn't know at the time about the expensive trip our parents were planning), so it was a bit disappointing for me. However, my younger brother and sister enjoyed it.
We unwrapped a movie called "Ferdinand," which my siblings said they saw in theaters when it came out a few years back. But I had never seen it with them. All I knew was that it involved farm animals and that John Cena was in its cast. Chances are that when we went to the movie theater to watch it, I went to watch some other movie that I felt was less childish. Whatever the case, my siblings remembered enjoying that movie, and watched it several times at home over the next few days... and once again, without me.
Why does this matter?
Well, when our parents asked us why we voted for our choice, my little brother said that he wanted to see Spain because the movie Ferdinand was set in Spain. And my sister subsequently agreed. I tried to tell them about Roman history and why Italy was the better option, but they didn't listen to me. I can't help it if I am the only one in this family who appreciates history!
Either way, I was outvoted, and our parents decided that Spain was our destination.
It was summer of the next year by the time we left Texas and flew to Barcelona, and I had forgotten my frustrations with my siblings over their vote. I was too busy having fun and enjoying the trip! We spent a few nights in Barcelona, then in Madrid, then in Córdoba; doing all sorts of activities! We went to a soccer (fútbol) game, ate at many different restaurants, and did many other things too!
I woke up early one morning (about two weeks into the vacation) while we were in our hotel in Córdoba, and saw my younger siblings watching "Ferdinand" on the TV. Rolling my eyes, I got out of bed and was quickly greeted by my mom who was brushing her teeth.
"Morning!" She said to me.
"Morning to you too," I said with a tired stretch.
"Hey mom!" My little brother called suddenly. "Since everyone is up, can we hit the road now?"
"Hit the road?" I said hoarsely, not having cleared my throat after waking up. "I thought we were staying here for a few more nights. We still haven't gone to that cathedral we always talked about going to."
My dad came out of the bathroom all dressed up for the day. "We're not going back to Texas early. Instead, we are just changing our plans for the remainder of the trip. Just over two hours south of here, there's a little town called Ronda. We know you wanted to stay here, but your brother and sister have been begging your mom and I to head there since we left on this trip."
I've never heard of Ronda before today, so what was it to my younger siblings? My little brother soon answered that question for me.
"It looks so pretty in the movie!" He said to me with a pointed finger at the TV. "Look!"
"What do you m-" I began, then stopped when saw the movie's depiction of what was supposedly Ronda, with a large oak tree on a flowery hill in the foreground. Next to the tree was a large bull. I wanted to vocally express how annoyed I was at this movie's tendency to change entire vacation plans, but I kept my mouth shut. After a few more moments of wiping my eyes, I got myself packed and ready for the day, slipped on my Texas shirt; some cozy pants, cleaned my glasses, and we were off!
After a short morning drive, we arrived at Ronda around noon. Once our luggage was unpacked in a cozy hotel near the town square, our parents decided to take us out to lunch at a winery just west of the town. We crossed beautiful chartreuse colored fields as we drove to the winery at the foothills which were part of a valley encompassing Ronda. On our way to the winery, we beheld an amazing view of the town crowning a wide cliff. There was a narrow crevice in one part of the cliff which was linked by a bridge called the "Puente Nuevo." Both in front of and beyond the town, there were vast rolling hills and fields which were littered with many trees. It was beautiful, and I forgot any reservations I had about coming here.
Once we arrived at the winery, our parents found that there was actually a line of people waiting to get inside, so they suggested that we do something to pass the time while they held our spot in line.
Naturally, my siblings and I wanted to find a spot which had a nice view of the town, so we told our parents that we wouldn't go too far.
"I'll text you when we can go inside!" My mom said to us.
"Got it!" I responded with a wave back as I followed my companions up a short hill. Once we got on top of the hill, we found our view was obstructed by a line of trees.
"Darn," I said to the others. "Maybe we can see if the other side has a better view?"
But just as I turned to head back, I heard a "Wait! Look up there!" from my little brother, who was pointing back towards another hill further away from the winery. It was a bit taller, but not too far away. At the top, a lone oak tree stood high, and a patch of bright flowers yellow and white in color could be seen.
"Well, I guess its close enough," I said. "But lets not go any farther than that."
After a minute or two walking down the hill we were on and up the one with the oak tree, we found that the view here was much better! No trees were in the way, and we could see the entire town in all its glory. The three of us sat down and admired the landscape for several minutes before my little brother spoke again.
"Hey," he said to my sister whilst looking at the lone oak tree. "Does this tree look exactly like the one from 'Ferdinand'?"
My face went from astonished by the view to annoyed at the mere mention of that movie. But then I heard my sister say, "Wow, it kind of does actually!"
That prompted me to snort with laughter. "Guys," I began with a chortle. "At first it was annoying, but now its hilarious just how addicted y’all are to that movie. Can't I just enjoy the rest of this vacation without hearing about it? I'll seriously pay y’all if you guys manage to go the rest of the trip without bringing it up."
"No, he's right!" my sister said to me. "I think it is crazy weird too, but look at those spiral shaped markings on the tree! They look just the same as from the movie!"
I signed in response and lied down on my back; picking a nearby flower and spinning the stem with my fingers. "Maybe its just how trees around here actually look in real life, but can we please stop talking about it?" I said with a slightly raised voice.
In response, my brother and sister shrugged their shoulders and started down the hill.
"Whatever," my sister said. "I'll just text you when its time to head inside. Ok?"
I nodded in response, then breathed a sigh of relief as my sister went down the hill with my brother. "Finally some peace and quiet," I said to myself; still spinning the picked flower in my hand. I felt slightly bad for raising my voice at them. "Maybe I am also letting this movie get into my head too much. Its not like its that big a deal that they keep talking about it. Its just a movie after all," I thought to myself.
As I spun the flower with my fingertips, I noticed some kind of gunk on my fingers which seemed to have been left by the flower I was touching. That was odd, since the flower stem looked clean and green.
Thinking that I must have gotten dirt all over my fingers when I lied down on the ground, I put the flower in my other hand and freed my dirty one to wipe it on my shirt. But for some strange reason, whatever the gunk was wouldn't come off, and it seemed to be seeping down the length of my fingers towards my palms. Then I noticed how the other hand holding the flower was now also dirty with the strange gunk. Immediately I dropped the picked flower to the ground, but little did I know that it was too late.
I stood up and frantically attempted to wipe my fingers on my shirt to clean them, but the dark stuff still slowly expanded down my fingers on both hands.
I then turned away from the view of the town and saw that behind me was a dirt path which was flanked by a blue wooden fence; beyond which was what looked to be some sort of farm or ranch. I couldn't tell. "That wasn't there before!" I thought to myself in astonishment. I distinctly remembered coming up the hill and not seeing any sign of this hill being someone else's property. "Once I figure out how to rid myself of this gunk on my fingers, I'm going back to the winery!" I decided.
After several more tries, I still hadn't managed to get my fingers clean. Then; adjusting my glasses, I saw that my fingers were not actually covered in gunk or dirt, but with...fur?
"I shouldn't have picked these flowers," I said tensely to myself; eying both my hands in wonder and confusion of what was happening to me.
Then, my fingers suddenly molded together as if making a Vulcan salute, and before I knew it, I had only three pointed fingers on each hand! At the same moment, The dark fur seemed to crawl quickly down the length of my arms and across my body in an instant! It didn't hurt, but it felt like I was getting a severe contraction of goosebumps. Except that instead of goosebumps, countless hair follicles were springing up all over my face, chest, and legs.
Looking down, I saw that my shoes were mysteriously disappearing; replaced by what appeared to be my bare... hooves? In spite of this shocking discovery, my attention was again diverted by the sight of my pants and shirt ripping as my body grew fatter in some places. The tightness of my pants around my growing waist was relieved as a button popped off. All of these changes were happening so quickly that I hadn't had the chance to utter a word. It was all happening too quickly for me to process!
My attention was drawn away from my ripping clothes and towards the changes now affecting my face, which I could feel was beginning to contort. The first thing I noticed was my ears lengthening and my face becoming rounder and chubbier than normal. Still in denial, I reached up with both my distorted hands to confirm if these changes were really happening. As my face became wider, the hinges of my glasses began to break as they began to feel the pressure of my changes. I could also feel two objects bursting out of my scalp, as if I were growing horns. But the most drastic change was my nose. When the changes started affecting my face, my nose quickly flattened and left both my nostrils exposed. Then, my nostrils seemed to drift apart, expand in size, and morph into some sort of snout.
I never had a tail before, but I know I had one when I felt something burst through my pants the next moment! The following instant, those same pants and the remainder of my Texas shirt ripped to shreds as my body continued to grow fatter; especially around my chest and waist. My ears and horns were also growing longer and longer as those changes happened. At the same time, my nose started to get itchy as my nostrils continued to grow in size and my snout widened. Finally, my glasses broke at the bridge as the stress of my change got the better of them. I managed to catch both fragments in each hoof as they fell to the ground.
"My glasses!" I exclaimed in dismay. I knew I had more pressing concerns at the moment, but that was my only pair!
The next moment, my spine began to arch and forced me down to the ground on all fours with a grunt. As my ears, horns, and tail finished growing, my fur became darker and darker until it was jet black except around my eyes and on my snout. As I sat up with an effort, my waist and chest also finished growing; and I was able to use my arms-turned-forelegs to sit upright.
Once all that was finished, my nose briefly stopped growing as the itch grew stronger, and I braced myself. "Ah- Ah- Ah-" I went; with my mouth agape and my eyes watering with tears (from the itch not for emotional reasons).
"AH-CHOOOOOOO!"
The sound echoed across the hills as I loudly sneezed! But when the echo was gone, all was quiet, and the sound of wind against the leaves and grass resumed.
When I opened my eyes, I noticed that my nostrils had again grown larger than they were before my sneeze, but all of my bodily changes had finally stopped. I nervously looked over at the shadow I was casting, and there was no doubt in my mind that I was a bull.
You'd probably be expecting me to freak out, but then the strangest thing diverted my attention: The smell of the flowers.
I didn't really mean to smell the flowers at first, as I was only trying to breath normally, but there was just something that made me want to smell them! I was reluctant at first, but as I inhaled over and over, the smell seemed to become more and more irresistible.
"I don't know why, but... I.... like it here," I thought to myself. "I can't explain it, but for some reason, I just want to sit here quietly and smell the flowers all day!"
As I continued to walk around the hilltop, feel the air, and smell the flowers, I happened across my phone lying in the ground amongst my torn clothes. And on the black screen, I saw my reflection. Strangely enough, I still had my eyes, brown hair, and eyebrows that I have always had, so at least something stayed the same about me!
Sitting back up, I inhaled again and sighed aloud. "I'm so happy I picked those flowers!" I said with a bright smile.
After a few more moments of sitting there, I heard my phone vibrate on the ground. Perking my head towards the phone screen, I saw a message from my sister saying "We're inside and waiting! Care to join us?"
"Oh right, lunch at the winery!" I said aloud as I began to trot back down the hill. Then suddenly, I halted and chuckled to myself. "Oops! Forgot I don't seem to have pockets anymore! Silly me! I'll come back for my phone later!"
Then with a grin on my face the whole way, I trotted down to join my family for a nice lunch!
"I'm sure they'll be happy to see me!" I thought to myself.

Hello ScoringBox, can you make a picture of Godzilla crushed like bandoneon please
I'll continue the story for you. (Note: This is in my perspective. I'll become Guapo from the movie.)
Meanwhile, I was sitting by the same tree. I decided to find some shade from the hot summer sun. I was listening to the Halloween Franchise Themes as I relaxed under the tree.
Then, I noticed what appeared to be diesel oil appearing on my hands. But this oil was virtually impossible to remove. "What's going on?" I said to myself. This voice sounded more like Kane Hodder, the actor who portrayed iconic serial killer Jason Voorhees from 1988-2001. Then, My hands had formed hooves.
Fur rapidly grew on my arms. I looked down my body and noticed my feet had become hooves too. Soon, I was covered in black and red fur. Then, I noticed my belly start to bulge. But, This belly was supposed to fit this new form. My belly began to spill over my pants. "Why am I still getting Fatter?" I said. Still, my body continued to swell up as it got chubbier.
Then, as my face became wider, I felt two small nubs at the top of my head. These would be my horns. When the changes started affecting my face, my nose quickly flattened and left both my nostrils exposed. Then, my nostrils seemed to drift apart, expand in size, and morph into some sort of muzzle.
I never had a tail before, but I know I had one when I felt something burst through my pants the next moment! The following instant, those same pants and the remainder of my Tom And Jerry shirt ripped to shreds as my body continued to grow fatter; especially around my chest and waist. My ears and horns were also growing longer and longer as those changes happened. At the same time, my nose started to get itchy as my nostrils continued to grow in size and my snout widened. However, I didn't feel like I could sneeze.
I felt more and more tired as my eyes watering with tears (from the itch not for emotional reasons). Then, I let out a really big yawn.
The sound echoed across the hills as I loudly yawned! But when the echo was gone, all was quiet, and the sound of wind against the leaves and grass resumed.
When I opened my eyes, I noticed that my nostrils had again grown larger than they were before my yawn, but all of my bodily changes had finally stopped.
"I'm so happy I sat under that tree!" I said with a bright smile.
After a few more moments of sitting there, I heard my phone vibrate on the ground. Perking my head towards the phone screen, I saw a message from my friend, Faith saying "We're inside and waiting! Care to join us?"
"Oh right, lunch!" I said aloud as I began to trot back down the hill. Then suddenly, I halted and chuckled to myself. "Oops! Forgot I don't seem to have pockets anymore! Silly me! I'll come back for my phone later!"
Then with a grin on my face the whole way, I trotted down to join my friends for a nice lunch!
"I'm sure they'll be happy to see me!" I thought to myself.
I felt more and more tired as my eyes watering with tears (from the itch not for emotional reasons). Then, I let out a really big yawn.
