Elizabeth Claire has an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language from New York University, and has taught students at all levels from pre school to senior citizen. She is the author of 26 books in print as well as ten books on Kindle. She is the co-founder and chief editor and writer for Easy English NEWS, a monthly publication for English language learners, now in its 25th year. Eight million copies of that newspaper have been sold.
Honors: Graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa Award, Excellence in Spanish Award, Winner Experienced Teacher's Fellowship Award to New York University.

Elizabeth Claire was born in the Bronx, moved a dozen times as a child and was always a "newcomer" and sensitive to the trials of learning to fit in. She was inspired by her grandmother's stories of struggles as an immigrant and troubles learning English, so becoming an ESL teacher was a natural fit for her. Always preparing her own materials for her students, she left teaching after 25 years to write full time for a much larger audience. She now resides in Virginia Beach, is a member of Toastmasters, and a graduate of the Landmark Forum and 40 seminars with Landmark Education.
