Yokai Academy is closed due to extensive damage and will need to be repaired before classes start again. What does that mean? Tsukune and the gang return to their families. Tsukune returns home and not longer after gets a surprise visit from his crush only for BOTH OF THEM to find that two of their friends snuck in through his bedroom window and hid in his bed and closet while the third tries the same. What could’ve been the deciding moment for Moka and Tsukune was ruined (AGAIN) by their friends. Personally, I would’ve lost my cool, dragged everyone that wasn’t my mother or Moka out of the house and called Ruby and the bus driver to take them home by force. Moka was the ONLY person with respect for Tsukune and good manners.

This is a great story that includes a lot of the monsters that we all know and love in a high school setting. It is cute, funny, action packed and sexy but I implore anyone who has seen the anime and hated it DON'T JUDGE THIS MANGA BY THE ANIME!!! The story is stronger, the dialogue is better and the characters are far less annoying!

The manga does not insult your intelligence but still provides an array of fan service to the benefit of the story instead of at the expense of it. Everything from epic beat downs, dramatic transformations, to steamy situations without the ridiculous over abundance of panty shots and idiotic banter. But that is not to imply that there aren't ANY panty shots.

Story wise it is very well written and will always leave you wanting more. One of the most likable things about the manga is the consistent character development between each other and independently. It is one of my favorite manga and I can't wait for the volumes to come.

Rating system:
1 star = did not like
2 star = it was okay
3 star = liked it
4 star = really liked it
5 star = it was amazing

The events of the school festival come to a close, and the school is absolutely trashed. Students are sent home, and the girls decide to crash Tsukune's house, each expecting to be the only one to do so. Chaos ensues, ending the first part of the series on a less serious note.
There's a bonus chapter at the end that takes place back before Mizore joins the group. It mentions a traditional vampire law for a small piece of lore.
This is not the end. The series continues with volume one of Rosario + Vampire Season II.

Side note: As with an earlier volume, there's another weird translation choice regarding Mizore's monster type.. Mizore refers to herself as a snow fairy. She is a Yuki-Onna, and as far as I can tell, that folklore states they are spirits or demons, not fairies.

Lilith's mirror story arch ends. Then the volume just cools down with some additional stories. Chapter 39 is another one of my favorite chapters. The anime adapted episode of this chapter was my favorite episode of the whole series. The two differ a little, but I don't really care about that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Festival Chaos
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 10, 2011
It is the Yokai Academy School Festival and Tsukune's human cousin Kyoko has come to see him. Tsukune and his friends have been trying to keep his cousin from discovering the true nature of the school but Kyoko has gotten hold of a magic mirror that can reveal the true self of those reflected by it. This and the return of an old foe brings chaos for the festival.

This tenth and final volume of the first `Rosario+Vampire' manga series is a nice end to the series with some good battles and some funny moments as well. The artwork is good, especially of the scenes with groups of monsters and the final battle as chaos is brought to the Yokai Academy School Festival. The volume also has a bonus story which is which, although not as good as the series proper, does give a bit more information about the lives of vampires.

Despite taking a while for it to get going, `Rosario+Vampire' has been a very entertaining series that, when combined with its sequel series is probably counted as one of my top ten favourite manga series.
