LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Classes will soon end for students around the Las Vegas valley and summer camps will be starting. The camps fill up quickly but some still have openings and 8 News Now has compiled a list.

City of Las Vegas Youth Summer Camps at Betty Becker Family Technology Community Center

  • Drone Summer Camp (ages 12-15) Tues. – Fri., June 20-23, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., plus Drone Soccer demonstration and competition on June 24, 8 – 11 a.m. Cost: $290 for the week.
  • Esports Teen Camp (ages 12-15) Mon. – Fri., June 12-16, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily. Cost: $290 for the week.
  • Esports Camp featuring Minecraft and Roblox (ages 6-11) Tues. – Fri.) June 20-23, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., plus esports competition Sat., June 24, 1-4 p.m. Cost: $290 for the week.
  • 3D Print Camp (ages 6-11) Mon. – Fri., June 12-16, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily. Cost: $290 for the week.

Clark County Summer Day Camps

All Clark County Summer Day Camps are for ages six through 12. Activities include arts and crafts, team sports, field trips, and more. The program is $21 per child per day.

Camps will take place from May 23 to Aug. 4 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the following eight locations. For more information and to register, go to this link. Registration is first come, first serve.

YMCA Y Summer Camps

  • Y Summer Camps (ages 5-15) keeps kids active with games, sports, pool time, educational activities, crafts, skits, songs, and STEAM projects. Camp times are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and half-day options are available at a reduced cost. The weekly fee ranges from $162 to $172 (for pre-schoolers). Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. There are also various specialty camps included in day camps such as a Coding Academy and Leaders in Training. You can get more information at this link. There are also swim classes, eight sessions for $115, for a parent and child from 6 months to 36 months.

Boys and Girls Clubs Summer Program

  • The summer program is available at all 13 Boys & Girls Clubs in the valley. It will start on May 22 and run through Aug. 3 weekly from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Annual membership is required to attend. Membership costs from $20 to $35 depending on age. The weekly rate for camp is $80 for ages 6-12 years. You can register at this link.

City of Henderson Summer Programs

  • Battle Born Kids (ages 5-12) and Teen Rec Connections (ages 12-14) camps operate Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (May 23 through Aug. 4) Cost: $118/per child weekly. Discounts for each additional child. Drop-in days are also available.
  • The city of Henderson also offers other camps including aquatic camps, Junior Naturalist Day camp, Page to Stage camp, preschool camp, specialty camp, and Teen Travels. You can find out more information about the camps at this link.

City of Las Vegas Summer Camps

  • The city of Las Vegas offers summer day camp from May 23 through Aug. 4 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday – Friday. Activities include arts and crafts, sports, games, music, life skills, physical fitness and fun all with trained staff supervision. Camps start at $75/week depending on age and location.   • Tot Camp (ages 3-5) who have not completed kindergarten.
  • Kids Camp (ages 5-11) must have completed kindergarten
  • Teen Camp (ages 12-14)
  • Counselor in Training Program for those aged 15. Cost is $35/week

Mermaid School

Mermaid School is returning to Las Vegas for the summer break. It’s at the Silverton Casino and is a 90-minute experience for ages seven to adult. Mermaid students will swim in the casino’s 117,000-gallon aquarium with tropical fish and rays while wearing a mermaid tail. Reservations are required. For more information, call (702) 263-7777.

  • The Mermaid School for Kids (ages 7-12) is on select days from May 20 – Aug. 5, from 8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m.
  • There are also classes for families and for adults.

Drama Kids Summer Camps

  • Bitty Broadway Aristocats Showcase (ages 4-7) offers various half-day, weeklong camps starting at $179.
  • Summer Splash Musical Mash (ages 6-12) offers full-day, two-week camps starting at $419.
  • Improv Performance or High School Musical 2 (ages 12-17) offers full-day, two-week camps starting at $249

Watch Me Grow Summer Camp in North Las Vegas

  • Summer camp is from May 23 – Aug. 4 (ages 6-12). The camp includes games, learning, STEM, art projects, weekly field trips, playtime in a fenced playground as well as breakfast, lunch, and snack. The camp operated Mon. – Fri. from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $250 a week and that includes the food and field trips. Interested parents can call (702) 646-4386 ext. 114.

Summerlin Camps for Kids

  • Summerlin Fun & Games Camp (ages 6-12) offers weekly themed activities, crafts Wii tournaments, karaoke, and daily swims in the Willows Pool. Camp times: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.* at the Willows Community Center and Pool. The weekly fee ranges from $220 to $275. You can register at this link.
  • Sports & Games Camp (ages 6-12) offers traditional sports like soccer and basketball as well as the classics – Red Rover, Hula-Hoop Pass, and Shark Attack. Discovery Children’s Museum Summer Camp

  • Discovery Children’s Museum (ages 6-11) offers camps focused on one or several fields of STEAM education. There are programs for children ages 6 to 8 and ages 9 to 11. The camps begin June 5 and cost $320 per week or $290 per week for Discovery Children’s Museum members. More information and registration can be found at this link.

Summer Camp at School of Rock

  • School of Rock offers summer camps at Las Vegas West and Green Valley locations. Various camps are offered depending on age and whether your musician is a rookie or more experienced. This is for kids who want to play guitar, bass, drums, piano/keyboard, and sing. The camps are for kids ranging from 6 to 11 years old and for advanced players from 8 to 18 years old. Skyluna Summer Camp

  • Skyluna’s Summer Camp offers a summer experience for kids from 2 months to 8 years old. There are weekly themes designed for a child’s age and stage. Camp started May 30 and ends Aug. 4. The cost is $300 per week. You can find more information at this link.

Summer Camp as Bases Loaded

  • Bases Loaded Las Vegas (ages 6-12) offers an 8-week camp that begins on May 29 and ends on July 3. The camp runs Mon. through Thurs. from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Boys and girls will work on hitting, fielding, and pitching. The camp includes conditioning, competition, games, and lunch. Art Camp with Bash & Design

  • This summer camp (ages 4.5-16) focuses on all things art. Children will explore different painting and drawing styles, color theory, and composition. They will create a unique object every week. The camp runs from May 23 through Aug. 11 and is offered Monday through Friday in morning and afternoon sessions, or a full-day session from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The weekly cost is $300 per half-day session or $70 for a drop-in session. Summer Camp at Positively Arts

  • Positively Arts Camp (ages 2-17) focuses on multiple arts including acting/improv, vocal, dance, recording studio, media production, and more. There will be surprise guests and experiences. Camp runs from June 5 through Aug. 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with weekly costs starting at $200. A discount is currently being offered for multiple weeks and siblings. Click here for more information.

The Learning Outpost Summer Camp

  • The summer camp promises a “fun and engaging” experience with themed weeks such as Artful Antics, MAD Science, Inventor Workshop, and Game Show Mania. The camp is for children from six to 11 years old. Sessions are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $250 per week but there is a discount for four weeks. Dawson Summer Camp

  • Dawson Summer Camp offers weekly adventures from June 5 through July 28 at its Summerlin campus. The camp is open to the general public for students entering kindergarten through eighth grade and is Monday – Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Before-care is offered for free and opens at 7 a.m. After-care costs $150 a week and is from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Camp costs vary from $480 to $540.
