If you're looking for Fourth of July firework displays, parades or celebrations near you, CBS 13 has got you covered. We've compiled a list of locations across the state.

Below is a list of some of the locations offering fireworks and celebrations:

AUGUSTA

The city of Augusta's Independence Day Parade begins at 10 a.m. It goes from Capital Street to State Street, through Memorial Circle to Water Street, turning right onto Cony Street and ending at the entrance of Old Fort Western.

Immediately after the parade, Augusta Mayor Mark O'Brien will take the stage to read the Declaration of Independence in 18th-century dress. A musket salute by fort staff will accompany the reading, followed by a special ceremony following George Washington's orders of July 4, 1778, for the "firing thirteen Pieces of Cannon" honoring the original colonies, followed by the lowering of the Grand Union Flag and the raising of the "new" American flag.

Throughout the day, tours are available for visitors to walk through the fort, store, and house to view period rooms and exhibits and talk with historical interpreters about daily life in the 18th century and the history of the fort.

The city of Augusta's family-friendly Independence Day event will begin at Mill Park at 1 p.m. with kids' activities, hayrides, music, and food vendors. The festivities will end at 9:15 p.m. with a fireworks display at Mill Park.

BANGOR

The Fourth of July in Bangor will be packed with fun events. July 4 kicks off with a pancake breakfast and car show at 7 a.m. The 42nd Annual Walter Hunt 4th of July 3K Road Race starts at 9:45 a.m.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. and will line up on Acme Rd in Brewer and enter onto Wilson St to begin. The parade will continue onto Main St in Bangor, wrapping up at Marketplace Square.

Following the parade, the city says a car show will be on display around 12:30 p.m. along the waterfront along with food trucks for munching.

A concert will be held to raise funds for children with cancer in the area. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. at the Maine Savings Amphitheater at 1 Railroad Street in Bangor. The Stone Doctors will plat at 6:15 p.m. followed by the Bangor Symphony Orchestra at 8:30 p.m.

The day concludes with a fireworks display over the Penobscot River around 9:30 p.m. The fireworks are being lit at Bass Park and the city says it can be viewed as far as Brewer.

All events free with the exception of the breakfast and the road race.

BAR HARBOR

Bar Harbor says it will be celebrating Independence Day with a day of festivities including the annual Fourth of July parade, concert series, and evening fireworks display over Frenchman Bay.

The Independence Day Parade will start at 10 a.m. The parade winds through downtown Bar Harbor from Main Street to Cottage Street to Eden Street to Mt. Desert Street to Ledgelawn Avenue.

A Seafood Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring the whole family to the Bar Harbor Athletic Field on Park Street to enjoy Maine lobster rolls and crab rolls as well as hot dogs, hamburgers, and French fries.

Live music will be held at the Town Pier from 3:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. The town say the free concert series will offer family-friendly tunes.

The Fourth of July fireworks over Frenchman Bay kick off around 9:15 p.m.

BATH

The Bath Heritage Day festival starts on Friday, June 30 and ends with Fourth of July fireworks on July 4.

Bath Heritage Day offers five days of fun, which includes food, music, carnival rides, games, and more

A parade will be held on the July 4 at 10 a.m.

Fireworks have been postponed until July 5 over the Kennebec River at the Bath waterfront around 9:15 p.m.

FREEPORT

On the Fourth of July, there will be a 4th of July 10K & Fun Run in Freeport. The road race begins at 7:25 a.m. The 1-Mile Fun Run begins at 9:10 a.m.

The Freeport Main Street Parade kicks off at 10 a.m.

A concert in the park at L.L. Bean will be held at 7:30 p.m. and it will feature indie folk artist Wilderado.

EASTPORT

Eastport is reportedly home is home to one of the largest 4th of July festivals in the state. Events start on June 30 and continue until Independence Day. There is a craft fair, watermelon eating contest, live music, and much more.

On the Fourth of July, an annual Blueberry Pancake Breakfast will be held at the Eastport Municipal Airport from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Grand Independence Day Parade starts at 2 p.m.

Fireworks begin at dusk at the waterfront.

LEWISTON-AUBURN

On July 4th, Liberty Festival festivities will begin at 5 PM in Lewiston at Veterans Park and 6 PM in Auburn at Great Falls Plaza.

On the Lewiston Stage will be performances by CBJ, National Award Winning Robert Washington as “Elvis”, and Country Roads. In Auburn, there will be a dance party & karaoke with DJ Scotty Dawg, and more.

On both sides of the river you will find various vendors.

Fireworks will be at 9:30 PM. (Rain Date: Wednesday, July 6, 2023).

LIMESTONE

The Fourth of July fireworks display will be on Monday, July 3 at dusk. It will be held over the Limestone Pond.

There will also be a street dance on July 3 from 6:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. at the corner of Access and Main Street near Mike's Family Market. There will be a band, bounce houses, and more.

LIMINGTON

Fireworks will light up the sky in Limington on July 3. The fireworks display will be held at Mill Pond on Route 11 behind Sleeper's Supermarket. Parking and sitting space is available across from Mill Pond. The fireworks start at dusk (approximately 9 p.m.).

A parade will be held on July 4 at 10 a.m. The parade starts at Emery School and ends at the town office.

A cornhole tournament will be held on July 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Limington Ball Fields. It's $50 per team and all proceeds benefit Limington Fire & EMS. There will also be a touch-a-truck event as well as food vendors at the ball fields.

MEXICO

Mexico will host its first Fourth of July festival at the Recreation Park off Roxbury Road from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be pony and horse rides, music, food, entertainers, a cruise-in car show, and more.

OGUNQUIT

The town of Ogunquit says a dazzling fireworks display will be visible from Main Beach all the way up to Footbridge Beach, North Beach and beyond. The fireworks will start around 9:15 p.m. A rain date is set for July 5.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH

Ocean Park 73rd Annual Independence Day Parade will be held on July 4. The town says the parade starts at 10 a.m. at the Bell Tower on Bell Tower on Temple Ave. Led by the color guard and the Ocean Park Band, the parade forms on Temple Ave. at the Bell Tower. Kids can decorate their bikes at home and ride them in the parade. The parade will be followed by a Band Concert at the Bandstand.

Independence Day fireworks display (weather permitting) by the Pier and Palace Playland on the beach at 9:45 p.m.

PORTLAND

City officials say the Fourth of July fireworks in Portland have been postponed until Wednesday due to the weather.

The display will still be held in its usual spot on the Eastern Promenade with the fireworks set to go off around 9:15 p.m.

Food trucks will be available on the Eastern Prom Roadway.

Fireworks will be launched from the East End Trail. The trail will need to be closed from Cutter Street to the Water Treatment Plant from 6 a.m. until approximately 11 p.m.

The city says the fireworks can be seen from other locations than the Eastern Promenade. These locations include East End Beach, Fort Allen Park, Amethyst Park, Baxter Boulevard, Payson Park, Martin’s Point on Veranda Street, and Bug Light in South Portland.

Portland Street Closures:

  • The following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic from approximately 10:00am to 11:00pm, on Tuesday, July 4th (July 5th Rain date): Eastern Promenade from Morning Street to Congress Street, Wilson Street from Morning Street to Eastern Promenade, Moody Street from Morning Street to Eastern Promenade. In the event of rain, these street closings would be in effect for Wednesday, July 5th.
  • The following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic from approximately 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, on Tuesday, July 4th (July 5th Rain date): Congress Street from Morning Street to Eastern Promenade, Turner Street from Morning Street to Eastern Promenade, Quebec Street from Emerson Street to Eastern Promenade, Melbourne Street from Emerson Street to Eastern Promenade, Montreal Street from Willis Street to Eastern Promenade, Walnut Street from Willis Street to Eastern Promenade. In the event of rain, these street closings would be in effect for Wednesday, July 5th.
  • All of Munjoy Hill and the Eastern Promenade will be closed to traffic (from Washington Ave. up), starting at 6:30 PM on Tuesday July 4th (July 5th Rain Date). Street closures include Mountfort Street at Fore Street and Congress Street; Washington Avenue at Marion Street, Cumberland Avenue, Walnut Street, and Eastern Promenade. Streets will be opened up again after the fireworks display (at approximately 11:00pm). In the event of rain, these street closings would be in effect for Wednesday, July 5th.
  • On-street parking will be restricted from 7:00 AM until 11:00 PM on Tuesday July 4th at Eastern Promenade (both sides) from Morning Street to Washington Avenue, Fort Allen Park (both sides), Walnut Street (one side) from Eastern Promenade to Washington Avenue, Waterville Street (one side) from Fore Street to Adams Street, Adams Street (one side) from Waterville Street to Kellog Street, and Kellog Street (one side) from Adams Street to Congress Street. These streets will be posted in advance, any cars parked illegally will be towed at the owner’s expense. In the event of rain, these restrictions would be in effect for Wednesday, July 5th. With construction, these restrictions may be subject to change.
  • On-street parking will be restricted from 7:00 AM until 11:00 PM on Tuesday July 4th at Eastern Promenade (both sides) from Morning Street to Washington Avenue, Fort Allen Park (both sides), Walnut Street (one side) from Eastern Promenade to Washington Avenue, Waterville Street (one side) from Fore Street to Adams Street, Adams Street (one side) from Waterville Street to Kellog Street, and Kellog Street (one side) from Adams Street to Congress Street. These streets will be posted in advance, any cars parked illegally will be towed at the owner’s expense. In the event of rain, these restrictions would be in effect for Wednesday, July 5th. With construction, these restrictions may be subject to change.

RANGELEY

The Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce says come celebrate our country's independence on July 3. This is Rangeley's 4th of July celebration. There are no town-sponsored fireworks on the 4th.

Events start at 10 a.m. with a Doll Carriage Parade at the Rangeley Inn & Tavern and ends at the Town Park.

The day concludes with fireworks being shot off from the Town Park at dusk.

RUMFORD

According to the Rumford Falls Times, there will be Fourth of July festivities that include food, music, games, and more starting at 4 p.m. at Hosmer Field off Lincoln Avenue.

SANFORD

The Maine Attraction Water Ski Show will take place on Number 1 Pond at 6:30 p.m. on July 3. Live music from the band Fireball is at 7:30 p.m. The fireworks start around 9 p.m.

A parade is on July 4 at 10 a.m. The route goes down Main Street from Carver Street to Gowen Park Drive.

YORK

Fourth of July fireworks will be held at Short Sands Beach in York. They start at dusk, approximately 9 p.m. Arrive early for parking. The town says parking is metered and you pay by the hour.
