Get Ready for Summer Camp Registration & Other Summer Opportunities for the Kids

It might seem that summer is many months away as we trudge through the cold and dreary winter weather, but now is the time for families to be planning ahead for how to keep their children busy, safe and entertained once school is out for the summer.

UA Parks & Rec Summer Day Camp Registration
UA Resident Registration Begins 6 am, Thursday, February 1
UA Parks & Rec’s Summer Day Camps are a popular option for families. With three camp locations – based out of the Thompson Park North Shelter, the Reed Road Park Shelter, and Tremont Elementary Cafeteria – kids ages 6-12 years, enjoy a busy schedule of recreation activities, weekly field trips, arts and crafts, games, movies, swimming, and library visits over a period of 10 weeks.

Registration for Summer Day Camp begins at 6 am on Thursday, February 1 for UA Residents. Since slots fill very quickly, interested families are advised to make sure their online Parks & Recreation registration account is set up and up to date in advance of registration day, or you risk wasting valuable time the morning of and possibly losing out on securing a slot for your child.

If any spaces for Summer Day Camp remain, registration opens to Non-Residents at Noon on Saturday, February 3.

UA Schools to Offer Their Annual Summer Academy
The Upper Arlington Schools is proud to offer an exceptional summer program for their students for the summer of 2024. Summer Academy 2024 will offer comprehensive academic and well-being programming to students who will be entering grades 1 through 12 in the fall. All courses will be offered free of charge for 2024, thanks to federal funding.

Course schedules for Summer Academy 2024 will be available at www.uaschools.org/SummerAcademy.aspx beginning Friday, March 8, and registration will open Tuesday, April 2.
