Sailor Jupiter/Makoto Kino

Sailor Jupiter is known as the Sailor Guardian with physical strength and attacks with lightning and plants. She appears in Volume 1 of the manga and Act 5 of Sailor Moon Crystal. She is the Guardian of Love and Courage.

Sailor Jupiter is awakened after being fooled by Nephrite and is given her transformation pen by Luna. She transforms using the words "Jupiter Power Make Up!" and uses the attack "Flower Hurricane". This attack sends dagger like flower petals at the enemies.

In Act 6, Sailor Jupiter attacks Zoisite without calling out any attack. She is using her lightning attack in this act and is seen using a green globe in Act 8 which levitates her and the others to where they need to be.

Sailor Jupiter

Makoto Kino is the civilian form of Sailor Jupiter and is the tallest of her class even at the age of 14. She is in Junior High and even though she attends the same school as Ami and Usagi, her uniform is different. In the manga it was because the new uniforms of Juban Middle School don't fit, but in Sailor Moon Crystal this is her old school's uniform.

Makoto's classmates fear her for her height and her strength, but Usagi soon falls in love with her cooking and sewing skills and pulls Makoto (Mako-chan) into an everlasting friendship. Makoto turns out to be a girly tomboy who is in love with love and has had her heartbroken by a boy in her last school.
