Studio City gets a new bloom in its bouquet with Girasol, an ode to seasonal California cuisine by Top Chef contestant CJ Jacobson. With a gorgeous room designed and decorated by Gulla Jonsdottir, who brought a resort feel to Red O, Girasol might be one of the prettiest rooms in the lower Valley, thanks to pleasant blue hues, a stunning ceiling texture that evokes a white flame frozen in time, while modern wooden furniture adds warmth and comfort. The menu looks familiar, unfussy and layered with local produce. Beer & wine is available now, with full cocktails coming later, along with brunch. Now open Monday to Wednesday from 5 to 10 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight.
