30 years after its initial publication, Crayon Shin-chan is still undoubtedly popular—spawning volumes of manga, over a thousand anime episodes, and even video games and apps released almost every year.
The series stars the weird, but lovable 5-year-old Shinnosuke Nohara (also known as Shin-chan) and his family, and tells the story of all the antics he gets into. Created as a manga by Yoshito Usui in 1990, it was then adapted into an anime series that's been broadcast in over 45 countries.
Despite some of the show's comedy being reliant on Japanese references, the appeal of the series spread worldwide. Because of this, the characters’ iconic misshapen faces and the distinct voices of actors like Keiji Fujiwara have become unforgettable.
Now, Shin-chan is getting his own Nendoroid too. Created by the Good Smile Company, Nendoroids are a type of figure characterized by oversized heads and interchangeable body parts. Shin-chan’s Nendoroid version can do his signature butt-flashing dance, and also comes with a figure of the family dog, Shiro.

The Nendoroid perfectly captures Shin-chan’s expressions from the manga and anime. There are also nods to other things Shin-chan known for, such as his undying love for the fictional chocolate snack, Chocobi.
