This Willys CJ-2A got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1948 Willys CJ2A is a post-war civilian model painted and modified to resemble a US Navy Shore Patrol Jeep. This Jeep is fitted with a military grille, fold-down windscreen, blackout turn signals, and exterior lights. The previous owner, a Korean War veteran, was given the Jeep by his son and kept it until his death a few years ago. The truck was repainted about 15 years ago and is powered by a 134ci “Go Devil” four cylinder engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission and two-speed transfer case. Since purchasing the truck the seller has reupholstered the seats, replaced the master cylinder, flushed the cooling system and completed some brake work. A matching 1/4 ton M-100 cargo trailer is included in the sale. This Willys is offered at no reserve with a 1949 Oregon plate and a clean Oregon title.

The exterior was repainted in U.S. Navy grey about 15 years ago and carries stenciled U.S. Navy, Shore Patrol, and serial numbers on various locations. The truck is equipped with a military-style grille, folding windscreen, and rear mounted Jerry cans. A set of military-style 6.00×16″ tires are fitted to the four wheels and matching spare.

A walkaround and drive video is attached. The seller notes that the passenger side rear quarter panel has been replaced, and the turn signals are not currently working.

The 1/4 ton M-100 cargo trailer is fitted with similar wheels to the CJ2A, albeit with larger 7.00″ tires. Some cracking is present on the trailer tires. A pair of wooden parade benches with padded tops are fitted inside the trailer, and some rust is visible on the forward floor. Per the trailer data tag it was originally delivered in 1952.

The exterior color carries over to the cabin and is contrasted by a set of black seats and floor mats. The seller had the seats reupholstered in black vinyl secured with rivets. The truck retains a correct three-spoke steering wheel, and simple black bakelite knobs for most interior controls. The gauges were replaced when the truck was refurbished and they are said to work correctly. 890 miles are shown on the mechanical odometer.

No Reserve: 1948 Willys CJ-2A and Trailer

The 134ci Go Devil inline-four sending power to all four wheels via a 3-speed T-90 manual transmission and 2-speed transfer case. The seller has checked the truck over since acquiring it, and has flushed the radiator and changed the oil since his acquisition.

No Reserve: 1948 Willys CJ-2A and Trailer

The seller replaced the master cylinder and flushed the brake system. Photos of the underside are provided, and show the frame, floors, axles, and suspension. A flat skidplate is fitted under the transmission, transfer case and center crossmember.
